Park & Playground Amenities

The Penn Township community is rich with recreational opportunities with parks and playgrounds. In addition to the recreational complex at the municipal building, Penn Township has five community playgrounds and the Shelley Proskin Center.

The area parks include Municipal Park, Bushyrun Battlefield, B-Y Park in Trafford, Oak Hollow Park, and Pleasant Valley Park.

Bushyrun Battlefield

Bushy Run American Legion Riverside Park
The 1/4 acre located on Riverside Drive in Claridge has a basketball court, sliding board, and swings.

Grandview basketball court – located at Grandview Volunteer Fire Department on Ridge Road

Level Green Baseball Field Playground
The 1-1/4-acre at Route 130 and Murrysville Roads in Level Green features a baseball field, bleachers, swings, and picnic tables.

Level Green Elementary Park
The park was rehabilitated in 2010 with a new walking trail, new basketball court, new pavilion, new absorbent safety surfacing, new accessible rest rooms, new storage building, new batting cages, benches, picnic tables, outdoor grill and trees.

McCullough Elementary School Playground
The facility has a new Boundless Playground designed to be totally handicapped accessible and contains a sliding board, swings, climbing and sliding tunnels, a sand area, benches, a climbing bar, crawling barrels, and a basketball hoop.

Municipal Park Complex
Located at the grounds where the township municipal building is located at 2001 Municipal Court, Harrison City, PA 15636, the facilities on site include: baseball fields (some of which are lighted), batting cages, a deck hockey court, a skateboard park, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, football and soccer fields, walking and jogging trails, concession stands with kitchens, permanent restrooms, equipment buildings for sport teams, and picnic facilities including pavilions and tables. Warrior Wonderland playground build in 1996 and the surface was upgraded in 2012.

The 17 acres of undeveloped land adjacent to the existing Municipal Park Complex are currently being developed to include additional walking trails, a new dog park with pavilion and enlargement of the pond, all to be completed by the end of 2013!

Sunrise Estates Playground
Constructed in 1998 with approved playground equipment including cushion ground covering, this 1-1/2-acre playground features a climbing jungle, slide, swings, picnic tables, benches, ball field, and pavilion.

Tennis Court - Penn-Trafford High School

Tracks - Walking around the tracks at Penn Trafford High School, Penn Middle, and Trafford Middle is allowed when not in use by school activities.
